SIMPLIFYING REVELATION

 

I recently attended a Mens’ Bible Study where the leader helped us simplify the rather overwhelming book of Revelation.

 

Jesus asked John to dictate what he had to say in this book about the end times.

 

He LOVED the church at Ephesus but was unhappy with them because they became distracted away from their relationship with Christ.   Revelation 2:5 NIV says:  Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

 

In the above verse Jesus asks them to:

 

--remember

--repent.  This means CHANGE your behavior.  Repentance is front and center again.

--re-do.   Thank Him for loving and delivering us.

 

MISSION is to “ask” or “propose” to others to consider their relationship with Christ.

 

The Great CO-MISSION gives us the authority to GO and tell others.

 

Part of our responsibility as a Christian, is to share the Good News with others.   Share what Christ has done for YOU with a friend today, as we find STEADY GROUND TODAY!
