"GOD, TURN IT AROUND"
Written 9/11/26
My wife was under the weather on a recent Sunday, so we watched our church services on-line.
The entire service was used by the Holy Spirit to speak to people, including both of us. While we weren’t there in person, we could sense the Holy Spirit speaking to us on what the pastor was discussing.
At the end of the service, the Praise Team sang a song that we hadn’t heard before. It’s by Jon Reddick, written in 2019, called “God, Turn It Around.”
Reddick’s story, that he has subsequently shared on numerous podcasts, is about his strained relationship with his father, a minister, as he was in his 20’s. Reddick prayed that God would turn that relationship “around”.
Reddick penned the words and music of the song during that time, as a prayer. As he prayed, God began to work on their relationship.
I hope this song will help you deepen your relationship with Christ, or begin a relationship with Him. You can watch Jon’s video singing this song here:

Here are the words to that song:
[Verse]
I'm praying God come
And turn this thing around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
I’m calling on the name
That changes everything, yeah
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
[Chorus]
All of my hope is in the name
The name of Jesus
Breakthrough will come, come in the name
The name of Jesus
[Verse]
I'm praying God come
And turn this thing around (Oh, yes)
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
I'm calling on the name
That changes everything (Oh, yeah)
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
[Chorus]
’Cause all of my hope is in the name
The name of Jesus
Breakthrough will come, come in the name
The name of Jesus
[Post-Chorus]
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around (Oh, oh)
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
[Bridge]
He is up to something
He is up to something
God is doing something
Right now
He is up to something
He is up to something
God is doing something
Right now
He is healing someone
He is saving someone
God is doing something
(Right now) Right now
He is healing someone
He is saving someone
God is doing something
(Right now) Right now
He is moving mountains
Making a way for someone
God is doing something
(Right now) Right now
He is moving mountains
Making a way for someone
God is doing something
(Right now) Right now
He is moving mountains
Making a way for someone
God is doing something
Right now
[Chorus]
All of my hope is in the name (The name)
The name of Jesus (Of Jesus)
Breakthrough will come (Come in the name), come in the name
The name of Jesus (All of my hope)
All of my hope (Is in the name) is in the name (Said)
The name of Jesus
Said breakthrough will come, come in the name
The name of Jesus
[Outro]
God, turn it around
Turn it around
Oh-oh, oh
God, turn it around
Turn it around
Turn it around
Reddick has spoken on these podcasts on how God not only used the song to help him heal his relationship with his father, but to help others turn around relationships—with Christ and other people.
At our church on that Sunday morning, the Praise Team kept singing the song because people kept coming to the front to be prayed for. My wife and I both shed tears because we have people whose relationship with Christ isn’t what it should be. We prayed that God would turn that relationship around into something that will give glory to Him.
May God use this song to do something in YOUR life to walk on STEADY GROUND today!
